The Holy Spirit Maternity unit is fully operational and fully equipped with ultra-modern equipment.
With the presence of Dr. Mugisha, Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, in the maternity unit for the past five months, the patients usage has increased tremendously.
InterCare, UK based NGO has been very supportive to the hospital with donation of drugs and medical supplies over the years.
A 20ft container of assorted medical supplies was donated in July 2019 to support the operations of the hospital and other clinics earmarked by the charity.
The hospital received a Digital Philips X-ray Machine donated by The Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS), USA.
The X-ray room was refurbished and was officially open to the public in March 2019.
The Ultrasonographic unit is fully functional.
A team of Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons from San Pablo University, Spain lead by Prof. Xavier Santos offered surgical interventions to the vulnerable in February 2019 and July 2019 respectively.
This is their third visit to the hospital offering free surgical intervention to the community.
They donated some much-needed medical supplies to augment the hospital in its smooth operations
This ultra-modern building under construction will consist of a laboratory, physiotherapy unit and a microsurgery theatre with funds provided by donor partners and the Bishop of the Diocese of Makeni.
Completion date of the building is slated for November 2019.
